Challenge
To design and develop the web site for Big Coop, enabling their members to register online, shop and become a part of the multi level marketing program offered by the company. The challenge was to quickly turn around their existing site within a matter of a few weeks, and make it dynamically functional.

Assessment
The companies site had been developed previously using a highly complex architecture, which lent neither speed nor reliability to the system.

Solutions
Pugmarks developed the site using ASP, on the windows platform, with Ms SQL as the database. Pugmarks has created the entire Multi Level Marketing system, registration, product database, shopping cart, subscription etc for the site.

Encyclopaedia Britannica

Challenge
To provide an online presence to Encyclopaedia Britannica's range of games CDs. The challenge was to build them in a manner where they would download extremely fast, and be children friendly.

Assessment
Pugmarks devised the games to be built and run in Flash technology, using extremely lean graphics.

Solutions
Each game was built using flat colors, lean graphics and integrated flash files, for quick downloads. The games, being mind challenging involved extensive scripting in Flash.

The newspaper Today

Challenge
To provide reliable, efficient hosting services, for a publication which required huge traffic support.

Assessment
The serving of this huge site required a robust server configuration and load balancing solutions to enable efficiency and speed of serving.

Solutions
Pugmarks took into account traffic, page serving and the platform of the site to come up with a redundant server configuration and load balancing solution. The Newspaper Today enjoys good speed of access, and a high 99.98% uptime.

Covenant Retirement Communities

Challenge
The Covenant Retirement Communities required a web presence which would integrate all its campuses under a common look and feel, yet remain independent of each other so as to be managed by independent campus staff.

Assessment
Pugmarks felt the need to build the site is a manner where the administration of the site was simple and easily deputed amoung the various campuses. The site needed to be completely database driven with extensive content management systems.

Solutions
Pugmarks gave the CRC a common look and feel while retaining some parts of each campus as common so as not to repeat the effort of adding information independently. The entire site was built using Ms SQL database and ASP pages, on a Windows 2000 platform.

Big Co-op Webmail

Challenge
To setup a webmail service for The Big Co-op where the login and access of the webmail would be through their parent site www.bigcoop.com. The integration was required between two different platforms of Linux and Windows 2000.

Assessment
The integration of the login as well as keeping a tab of expiry of usage needed to be tracked to create an efficient system.

Solutions
Pugmarks integrated the two systems through scripting, and enabled the authentication of the users login and setup via the marketing site as well as the webmail solution. The webmail solution as such allows members to use their mail accounts as powerfully as any other typical mail client.
